Biopsy/Oral Medicine

A procedure that removes abnormal tissue from your mouth or oral cavity. This tissue is sent to a pathologist to identify and provide a diagnosis of the tissue. Often, treatment consists of the removal of the tissue itself, or may require further treatment depending on the diagnosis.
